This past year marked 75 years since the founding of Our Lady of the Assumption Parish in Claremont. Over the years, our parish has grown along with the surrounding community. Today, our parish is a welcoming community where we invite everyone to grow in the Catholic faith, celebrate our diversity, nurture the Gospel message, and exemplify our love of Christ by serving others.
In 2015, we created a master plan for our campus, which included plans to renovate the Church, Auditorium, and Rectory. The Church renovations were completed in August 5, 2018. Around that same time, we were notified that the Archdiocese was about to launch a capital campaign of its own, entitled Called to Renew. Our parish was placed in the last wave of the campaign, which was to occur in 2021. However, due to the pandemic the campaign was paused in 2020.
The campaign has now resumed, and it is now our turn to participate. We have decided to use this as an opportunity to launch the second phase of our campus renovations. This phase will be dedicated to renovating and updating the Auditorium, which is used by both the parish and school. Our plans for improvements to the Auditorium include the following.
